Welcome to Chawke’s Board!
I am a 24-year-old, Irish-American from Los Angeles, California. I have had the privilege to travel to 23 countries. I have traveled solo, with family, and with friends. I have stayed in beautiful hotels, cheap hostel dorms, and Airbnbs.
Travel can take many forms. In a world of digital nomads, it is easy to feel like I am not doing travel “right.” Traveling is not my job, but it is my passion. Whatever form it may take, I love to explore the world around me and gain new perspectives. I wish to relive these life-changing experiences with you through my writing. I hope you enjoy the journey!
3 Months Solo Backpacking Europe
I never would have guessed that I would spend 3 months solo backpacking through Europe, but the COVID-19 pandemic made me realize how important travel was to me. So I decided once the world opened back up, I had to see it—whether there was someone to go with or not.
Voyage UW
At the University of Washington, I was a writer and editor for Voyage, a student-run travel magazine, before becoming Editor-In-Chief. We explored various topics and their relation to travel, such as art, sustainability, and language.
